Rainy Wednesday

Today has been pretty relaxing. It rained all day so needless to say I never got out of my PJ's. Don't you just love days like that? Of course you know rainy days are perfect for scrapbooking...that is when you don't have your children calling your name 400 zillion times per second. (Venting session now over). No, actually my middle son Caleb is like a dog without bone...when he gets something on his mind he is relentless. Ok, back to the subject at hand...scrapbooking! This is what I like to call a hodge podge of materials. The little yellow frame is made by K&Co, papers are SC and OA, airplane and title is CC.
This lo was inspired specifically by the picture. I love the photo of Caleb in the "chair of many colors". It was taken on our trip last year in Gulf Shores. We were in this condo that was so bright and cheery and it just made you feel good every morning when you woke up surrounded by all the colors. I rummaged through my stash to find just the right colors for this picture and viola! The papers are Sass and Bella Blvd. The title was perfect for using left over thickers. I know it is very simplistic but I didn't want to deter from the picture itself.

Ok, now I am off to play with my new cell phone...Rumor Touch. It will probably take me days to figure it out being that I am phone illiterate. For those of you enjoying sunshine and water....Booooo Yoooooou!!!! As for me, I intend to stay dry.

Catching my Breath

OMGosh....can I say EXHAUSTED!!!! I can safely say I have been either away visiting family or on the road for a month now. I am so ready to settle in and rest awhile before the next big adventure. In August, the whole family is headed to Fort Walton Beach, Florida....OHHHH YEAH!!!!!

Let's take a look back...the fourth was filled with lots of good food and good people. We stayed in the pool for fear we would melt. Good ole Louisiana humidity/heat...who needs a sauna when you can just walk outdoors.

Oh and who could miss the premiere of Eclipse....not me!!!! I loved the books and equally love the movies. Go Team Edward!!!!!

During some of my travels I was able to spend some time with my grandfather. He was such a treat. I had not been home for one whole year so needless to say I was beside myself. It may not be Italy or Paris but I don't think any of those places could substitute going home visiting family and friends.

Lookie what I got!!!!! Studio Calico will be sending me this delicious kit any day now!!!! Yippie!!!!

When I saw this baby I knew I had to have it. If you have not ventured over to Paper Poppy kits, then you must go check them out. Cute Cute Cute!!!!!

Alright now...I am all equipped and ready to start scrapping again. How about YOU????? If you have any fun things going on this summer, please feel free to share!

On Vacation

As they say, vacations can be very relaxing. I have been enjoying a nice bit of time with my family and during that time I have finally been able to work on some pages. When I get back home I will have all the stresses of packing and moving so needless to say I will savor every minute and take lots of pictures.

I am a Gleek!!!!!!

Tonight is the night....season premiere of Glee!!!! What am I going to do without my weekly dose of Glee???? Yes, I am a Gleek.

Finally sat down long enough to work on a new layout. I have been drowning myself in books, one after the other. I love to READ!!!!

This layout is a hodge podge of products from my Studio Calico and Noel Mignon kits....Classic

Broke out some oldie but goodie stuff on this one. You should see the strips of paper I have left from last years Cosmo line for boys. Hey, ya never know when you might use that strip of paper!
I called this layout mud bugs. My subtext "Made in Texas" was because we attended a Crawfish Boil in Texas and although I am very appreciative of the efforts made, crawfish are just not the same unless you have attended a Louisiana crawfish boil. I can assure you I have already made plans with my family to feast on the famous "mud bugs" as soon as I get back to my old homestead. Vacation is just around the corner!!!!
