Memorial Day

Wishing you and yours a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend. Please never forget those who served to make this country what it is today! Before I go to spend my holiday weekend with family and friends, I thought I would drop off my latest layout made from my Noel Mignon kit that I received in the mail the other day. It was perfect for a picture I had taken of Abigail while out on a mother/daughter date. Enjoy and again, have an awesome weekend!!!!

Kits or Indvidual Products...

Like many of my fellow scrappers, I want it all. Anytime the latest product or paper line comes out, I go into hyper-drive drooling over all the yummy goodness. Now there are some many fantabulous kit clubs out there too with super talented scrappers who know how to mix and mingle the perfect embellishment with the perfect papers, ribbons, and letters. So it got me to thinking...which method is more cost efficient? With a struggling economy and my struggling budget, I am always looking for a deal but the last thing I want to do is feel like I am missing out on all latest and greatest items. So I thought I would pose the question to all of you, my fellow talented people....Do you think we can save more by investing in kits or buying individual products? Let me know what you think!!!

This is one of the fab kits by Studio Calico...They have yet to disappoint.

And here is my latest purchase....Lemonade Stand by Noel Mignon

Can I say that I can't wait to run my fingers through this mouth watering kit!!!!!
Dropping one off for the road....Here is a layout I did today called "MY WISH". I wrote a few sentiments that I felt were important to pass on to my daughter.

The Color Room

The Color Room is a new challenge blog that I am absolutely in love with. It works with colors and has sketches to play with. This was the first time I played along and I look forward to more color palettes to come. Check it out and see what you think!

On a Roll....

I have been in a scrappin frenzy!!!! My goal is to use up some of the stuff I have so I can go out and buy some more. LOL!!!! All I can say is that I hoard paper with the best of them. I can never get enough!!!!! My scrap desk is barely visible. Makes you wonder how I find anything!!! One day I will be organized. Maybe??!!!

Splashin' Good Times...made all with Bella Blvd. This is the All Inclusive line and my favorite!!!!

future scrappers....Another layout made with Bella Blvd.'s Flirt Line.

Grumpy Bunny....I finally used up most of my Easter Collection by Making Memories. It was from last year's spring line. The flowers I made myself...tutorial found here http://frommyfeatherednest.blogspot.com/2010/05/making-flowers-with-border-stamps.html

On a Personal Note....

Wow...where to begin???? Landon got his braces off!!!! He looks amazing with his new and improved smile. This was his first day with them off. Needless to say he was very happy and great new material to scrap!

Caleb performed at his "end of the year" band concert. His daddy and I were so proud to watch him play. He has really come a long way for this to be his first year and like his daddy, Caleb has gained a passion and an appreciation for music. I am sure this is just the beginning of many concerts to come!!!!

Peace Out Sucker...made with my kit by Studio Calico

I have to laugh about this one. Abigail and I watch the Disney Channel all the time. Well, one of her favorite shows is "Sonny with a Chance". One of the guys on the show is always throwing the peace sign and saying "Peace Out Sucker" so obviously when Abigail finished performing at her choir concert, this was her immediate pose for the camera. Of course my mind went to work and the rest is history.....

Summer Girls....a load of Prima that has been itching to be used!!!!

He's Legal...made with my Studio Calico kit and some various misc. items I had in my stash.

Can you believe I have an 18 year old???? I know, me neither!!!!!

Cosmo Cricket Challenge at Scrapbook.com

I love Cosmo!!!! Always such fun stuff to play with!!!! Delaina Burns is hosting a Cosmo Cricket Challenge over at Scrapbook.com and of course I had to throw my hat in the ring. Come play with us. It's always fun to see what everyone can come up with. This is my brother in-law with my niece. She is totally rotten and he is totally smitten.

Here is just a simple layout to poke fun at my husband who has no handman skills what-so-ever. Thank God his work does not require tools!!!! LOL!!!!

Happy Belated National Scrapbooking Day!!!!

Well it is week 2 as of tomorrow and all is healing nicely. I still have staples that have to be removed but I am moving slowly but surely. If there are any of you out there who have already been through this I am sure you can sympathize. Last night I had my first outburst of tears but could not pinpoint why or what I was upset about....guess I need to get my hormone patch readjusted. You better watch out, I might bite your head off without warning...LOL!!!!! Just the many wonderful side effects to enjoy while stablizing the many depths of a woman. Men have no idea how easy they have it....Darn that EVE!!!!!!!

I wanted to drop off some of the layouts I had worked on prior to my revitalization vacation....

YUM!!!! made with a line by Nikki Sivils
Please check her stuff out...she is new UP and Coming of the fab manufacturers we have in this hobby.
my baby....made with my kit from Studio Calico. Can I say again how much I enjoy their kits!!!! They have a fun, ecclectic, funky style that I just adore!
Well that's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well and scrappin their little hearts out!!!! Much love and Big Hugs!!!!!
