A day in the life of me...

How was your weekend? I had a fabulous day with my daughter, Abigail. I think all moms should have time set aside for a mother/daughter day. Abigail and I went to the movies to see Alice in Wonderland. It was sooooo fantastic and Johnny Depp proved again why he was made for acting...sheer genious!!!!!

Before going to the movie, Abigail and I came across this really pretty walkway area...I think they call it the Waterway Park. The fountain was just beautiful so we parked the car to stop and do a little photo shoot. Here are two of my favorite pictures.

On Sunday I was inspired to pull out some of the new GCD papers and embellies that I had found at Archivers. I was a little intimidated at first because I just hate to cut into such pretty papers. I searched the internet and finally came across a sketch that I liked by Pencil Lines and viola...a pretty page for a pretty girl!

Here is a layout I did of my parents with our newest little addition, Madisyn. I called it "the sweet life" because momma and daddy are both retired and enjoying life. I did some misting and masking at the bottom and really just did a pretty frame with one of the Martha Stewart punches. The tree is a die I have from Quickutz. I really love the way it turned out and had a lot of fun doing it.I am trying to expand myself into other things besides layouts and made this little easter card with some left over papers from Making Memories. Cards and altered items are a little scarey for me but once I plunge in and go for it, I really have a lot of fun with it. So keep those scraps of paper, you never know when they will come in handy.

Now for project 365...
