Sorry this is late....I have been lost in my kindle. Over the last several days I have read the entire "Hunger Games" series. Oh, it is just so spectacular and riveting and full of twists and turns. It is the best series I have read since the "Twilight" books!

Ok, on to scrappier things!!!! Sketchabilities is back with a fabulous reveal!!!! Here is my take on this awesome sketch....

Now, I hope you take the opportunity to go here to check out the rest of the design teams creations.

Here are a few layouts I also wanted to share. I have been working at my table quite a bit...working with older lines and kits that I have been holding on to. Since I am no longer working with a kit club I find myself with plenty of time on my hands to just scrap. Surprisingly, it has been really nice to just scrap with no deadlines.

This is made with Jillibean Soup's "Sweet and Sour" line. My title is in honor of my son's favorite book. Landon has already called dibs on the book "Love you Forever". He says he wants to read it to his children one day. Awwwwww, makes my heart go pitter pat!!!!

This layout is made with Bo Bunny's "Crush" line. Caleb thought it was a little too "Girly" for him but I explained to him that he is boy enough to handle a little pink. LOL!!!! He's such a hoot!!!!! Thus the owl!!!!!

This last layout is made with Bella Blvd's "Making the Team" line. I just loved this picture of Abigail during her Fun Run for the schools in our area. This occasion has inspired her to sign up for Cross Country next year. I can't believe my baby girl is going into the 7th grade!!!! Sigh!!!!! Life goes by so fast!!!!!! Thank God for pictures!!!!! Enjoy Life

Just stopping by to drop off a layout I worked on this past weekend. It was a picture of me that Abigail had taken while we were in Disneyland. We had such a wonderful time....me, momma, and Abigail!!!! It will be a trip that I will treasure for a lifetime!!!!!

I have so enjoyed working with the Crate Paper's "Random" line. It has a beautiful palette of colors and embellies. I also added some paint splatters with my OA Sprinklers. I encourage you to pull out a picture of yourself and scrap it!!!! No matter what we think of ourselves, we are someone special to the ones we love!!!!!

A Space Mission....

Morning Folks! Remember how I told you my love for OA???? Well, I have another layout to share made with the fab "space" line. And boy, do I have tons of pictures to scrap. At least I got 1 done and many many more to go. As for my layout, I had saved a sketch from Creative Scrappers on my Pinterest....

I absolutely love these papers and the vintage space theme is absolutely precious. My son, Caleb, and I were looking at these pictures and were amazed at how much he has grown just since these were taken. He had a major growth spurt over the summer. Just goes to show how wonderful it is to preserve those memories. Not much more going on right now except for reading the 2nd book in The Hunger Games series. Wishing you a fantastic day!!!!

Love & SRM Stickers (sniff sniff)

Hey Scrappers!!! Today I wanted to share with you a layout I had done for SRM Stickers. We were required to create something using the "Love" themed stickers. As my time draws to a conclusion with the team and with the wonderful Susan and Jenyfur, I honestly get a little teary eyed just thinking of how thankful I am to have served amongst these amazingly talented and creative ladies!!!!! I will be forever grateful to SRM Stickers for stretching my artistic abilities and challenging me to work outside of my comfort zone. If you know me, you know that I primarily love to create layouts, but now I have other creations to add to my resume' due to SRM Stickers!!!!! Here is my latest contribution....

Just in case you are curious, I used the "Happy Days" collection by Echo Park. And remember, next time you are working on a layout, consider using SRM stickers for your title, adding print to a picture, or just adding interest to your page. The skies the limit!!!!

Time to See the World

Hey YOU!!!! Can you believe it....posting 2 days in a row!!! Well, last night I pulled out my stash of October Afternoon papers and ohhh how I love OA!!!!! I could own every last piece and horde it foreverrrrrr!!!! Anyway, because I have a ton of pictures of Landon's graduation, I was inspired with OA's travel line and thought about how his future is a journey in itself. Thus, I created this page based on this lovely sketch....

I love how it turned out and I just cannot keep myself from adding those sweet little banners/flags!!!! I just love how they just complete my page.One little tid bit....I pop dotted the middle banner/flag just to add some dimension to my cluster of flags. I also used my OA Sprinklers. They have a wonderful matte finish when I am not wanting to add glitter to my page. Well folks, that is all I have for now. I think I am going to use this day to catch up on all of my shows on my dvr. Looks as if rain may be headed our way, so I am thinking Pjs, scrapping, and tv will be the perfect way to spend my day. Sunshine Baby

No folks, I didn't fall off a cliff. I have been spending some quality time with my hubby while he was on vacation. We didn't do anything in particular, just spent time together and with the the kids. Landon came back for a visit and stayed for 2 weeks after New Years. Now he has returned to Louisiana, looking for a job and preparing for the his state exam so that he can begin the process of hiring on as a fireman. Lucky for him, my brother is a fireman, my brother-in-law is a fireman, and my grandfather was the fire chief. I hope I am right in saying that I believe his chances are good. Abigail's birthday is creeping up on me. We have decided to have a party at this pottery studio. The company lets the kids create a plate of their own with pottery clay. The girls can decorate them and then pick them up a few days later after they have been fired and glazed. Cool Right????!!!!! Anyway, that is what I have been up too. I have a few scrappy things in the works but can't be revealed just yet. Until then, I have one I finished today. I based it on the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers. Here it is....

I have been itching to play with my Studio Calico stash, and the picture of my sweet little niece just fit nicely with all the colors and patterns in my papers. Rheagan is truly the sweetest little ray of sunshine on the planet!!!!! I do believe she was made of all kinds of sugar and spice!!!! Well that is all I have for today. Now A Man...

I pulled out my Crate Paper stash the other day and put this layout together. I wanted to convey Landon's progression from boy to man. Right now, he still needs me, still trying to figure out how to make his way in this world. I love this picture of him....such a handsome young man!

Today is a typical Monday and I am not feeling myself yet....but LSU plays against Alabama tonight so my mood may shift soon!!!!!

Welcome 2012

Hi Scrappers!!!!! I have just returned from Louisiana and getting readjusted to the business of life. The kids have school tomorrow and all things return to normal. I had a wonderful vacation and completely enjoyed my time with family and friends. I even worked in a little photo shoot with all 3 of my kiddos. Here are a few of my faves....

So proud of my babies!!!! This was my Christmas present from them....I had to bribe my boys....LOL!!!!!

Here are a few layouts to share with you that I worked on prior to the Christmas/New Years Holidays......

Most all products used on these are by Bella Blvd. I threw in some of the Lily Bee "memorandum" on two of the layouts. I've been trying to scrap some of my older pictures. I can't wait to get back to my scrap desk. I have missed my creative outlet. I am in need of some scrappy therapy!!!!

Hi Scrappers!!!! While I am out of town visiting my parents, I wanted to reflect on my work and acknowledge some of my favorite pieces of work. Here is what I came up with.....

Chronological or Scattered???

Hey Scrappers!!!! It's about 10:30 Sunday night and I am reminiscing with the kids through old yearbooks and baby books. My kids are loving every minute of it. Makes me wonder how much more they will enjoy my scrapbooks later in life. So, my subject matter tonight is on whether or not you scrap in chronological order or do you skip around????? I scrap like I live life....scatter-brained!!!! I am soooo ADD that it is hard to keep my focus unless I am inspired. Once I am inspired than I am able to completely immerse myself in what I am creating. With that in mind, here are some of the layouts I have been working on this week. One is from Thanksgiving about 4 or 5 years ago and then the other is from one of our family vacations. See, I told you....scatter-brained!!!!!!

Hi Scrappers!!!! I hope all of your days have been Merry and Bright!!!!! I have a few Christmas layouts that I wanted to share. The papers and embellies will all be familiar. I have a desk full of "mix-match" products from all of my Christmas kits I ordered...The ScrapRoom, Noel Mignon, and My Creative Scrapbook. Usually I am so intimidated by Christmas layouts but I have conquered my fear, pulled out my Christmas pictures and buried myself in all my scrappy sweetness!!!!

Family is everything to me and nothing makes Christmas more special than to be surrounded by the ones I love. I hope you find your inspiration for you inner scrappy diva and work up some magical Christmas pages!!!!

On a side note, I started my physical therapy yesterday. Since my lumbar fusion, I have been having a lot of left leg pain. The doctors say I have some nerve damage so I thought I should try to do what I can to keep my muscles active. Looks like a have a lot of therapy in my future but I am optimistic in the fact that it can do nothing but help my situation.

Wow, has it really been a year already????? SRM Stickers is having a DT call on Dec. 5th. Believe me when I say, you really want to get in on this!!!! Susan is so amazing and so generous with her stickers and tubes!!!!! I have so loved working with this company!!!!!

New Stuff...

Greetings from Louisiana!!!!! I made it into town yesterday evening and am recooping from the long drive. It rained just about the whole time so I still have remnants of a headache still lingering. Believe it or not, I brought absolutely nothing in regards to scrapping. I figured there was so much to do and so little time to do it. Aside from the fabulous Thanksgiving dinner we will be having, my mom and I will be going into Tigerland on Friday to see the LSU/Arkansas game. Then on Saturday, we are going to tour a plantation home!!!! This will be one of the first trips that will be just me and my mom.....I am sooooo excited!!!!!

Now for the new stuff....I recently ordered one of the new lines from Echo Park and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I had these new pictures I took of my hubby and they were perfect for these papers. Here's what I did.....

See what I mean....Perfect combo!!!! Next I finally pulled out my Jillibean Soup kit from The ScrapRoom and played with it. I just love this new line from JS and I think I am going to have to order more....am I tempting you to shop yet????? LOL!!!!! Here is my layout.....

Working with Imaginisce

Happy Sunday Scrappers! It has been an eventful weekend but as things settle down, all I can think of is Thanksgiving with my family. Tuesday, I leave for Louisiana and I couldn't be more thrilled.

As for scrappy projects, I have a few Imaginisce layouts I worked on for the DT call. I love Imaginisce!!!! Their papers and products are so fantastic. If you haven't noticed, I have really been loving Hemp Twine. I just love the texture it adds to a page. Another thing, I love to use is kraft paper. I hope you enjoy my layouts and are inspired to go out and scrap with those Imaginisce papers. Enjoy your lovely Sunday!!!!

Hat Day

Good Morning Scrappers....Along with my fresh new look, I have some fresh new layouts to share!!!! My first layout is of my sweet Abigail. She participated in college and career week with her school. This day, Abigail had to wear a hat in support of her favorite college and of course she chose LSU!!!!! Geaux Tigers Baby!!!!! Ooops, got side tracked there for a minute!!!! So anyway, once again I pulled out my Bella Blvd Papers, "Making the Team". I tell you, Stephanie really hit a home run with this line....get it...home run!!!!! Just a quick funny, I am working off of fumes right now! Back to my layout...I got me a new canon printer and decided to play around with some different sizes of the pictures. I am not real happy with the quality of the print and I am not sure if it is the paper or the printer. I bought Kodak paper, but to be honest, I hate glossy photos and Wal-Mart was not supplying me many choices. But that is neither here nor there. Without further adieu, here is Abigail on "Hat Day".

EP Fresh Face Designer???

Hi scrappers!!!! It has been a few days since my last post. Today, I thought I would give it another go for the Echo Park Fresh Face Designer. I truly love their papers and have so enjoyed working with just about every line they have put out!!!!! Here are a few....

This first design is a mixture of "A Walk in the Park" and "Sweet Summertime". The design of my page was inspired by a sketch over at "Once Upon a Sketch". I used my Cricut (Plantin SchoolBook) to cut my circle. The picture was literally taken at one of the parks where I live. We were celebrating my oldest son's graduation. What I love about Echo Park is there sticker sheets. I added the tree and then began to fill my page with fun items you might see at a park. When designing with the stickers, I often choose to add dimension by using pop dots. This is one of my favorite pages due to it's fun and playful vibe.

On this layout I used the Echo Park line, "Life is Good". Again, I pop dotted the stickers but kept the primary focus on the pictures. I love the block letters when playing with my title or to date my page. The papers on here just convey such joy and happiness which again is why I am so drawn to Echo Park.

I was so excited to get my hands on this Echo Park line, "Happy Days". What was even better is that Echo Park created chipboard stickers, which happens to be one of my favorite elements on my pages. I love layering the patterned papers and adding little pieces of interest around my page. Another favorite technique I like to use is paint splatters and faux stitching. I think the result was exactly what I wanted for the picture I used and this line couldn't have been more perfect!!!!

Lastly, I created this layout using the Echo Park line, "Apothecary Emporium". I had so much fun creating this page and again the patterns were so fun to work with. I pulled out my Tim Holtz flower die and the rest of my embellishments were stickers that I pop dotted all over the page. Another favorite item that I use quite often is Baker's twine. I can't help myself with that stuff. And look at those bats....so darn cute!!!!!

Fall Football....

Hey fellow scrappers!!!! Did you know that The ScrapRoom has what is called "Recipe" layouts? It is for members only and what you get is full step by step instructions on how to reproduce 6 two page layouts!!! So, if you are a scrapper on the go and want to make quick pages, we have what the Dr. ordered. This month I got to work with the new fall line by We R Memory Keepers. I actually put a spin on it by scrapping football with fall papers. My son, Caleb, played football for the first time this year. He is in 7th grade and just totally wowed us with his mad football skills!!!!! We had an amazing season undefeated!!!!! I love me some football!!!!

Morning Scrappers!!!!! Today is my Birthday....the big "39"!!!!! I think I will just stop there and work my way backwards!!!!!! Anyway, I have a couple of layouts to share today. I am so in love with Crate Paper this season...especially "Random". The colors are just so Lively and Fun!!!!! Here is a layout I made for my nieces that is completely comprised of Crate Paper!!!!!!

Isn't that the sweetest layout you have ever seen????!!!!! I just love my girls....perfect picture subjects!!!!! Anyway, the next layout is of my beautiful Abigail!!!!! Of course I am biased when it comes to my one and only girl!!!! I took this picture of her one morning before she headed out to school. She is only eleven but has really gotten in to all things trendy and fashionable!!!!! This particular morning she looked so beautiful so I just had to capture it on film. Now, you know how much I love Bella Blvd....so of course I had to scrap this moment with my new bella papers!!!!! Stephanie just has a way of designing stuff that is so darn cute....makes my mouth water!!!!!

A Proud Moment

Hi Scrappers!!!! I know I have scrapped pics of Landon's graduation before, but there are so many wonderful moments captured that day that I can't help but keep scrapping them. The one I am about to show you is special in it's own right. My husband, took on Landon and me when Landon was only four years old. Blending a family is hard in it's own right but when I look at how far we have come and the love that these two share, I am forever grateful! It makes me all the more certain that God truly put Duane and I together for a reason. Landon has never really known his biological father for too many reasons to explain but it warms my heart that when he tells his "daddy", Duane, that he would not have it any other way. Love really knows no bounds!!!!

On, to the layout....I had the pleasure of visiting my lss owned by the sweetest, Mrs. Karrie Allen!!!! If you are ever in Spring, TX you must make a trip to Scrappin Savvy!!!! Anyway, I found the wonderful Authentique papers that I have itchin' to get my fingers on. With that said, when I picked my photo, I couldn't wait to get started. And here is the finished product.....

I found some of the fall stickers from Lily Bee and used those for the flags one of the buttons, then I used some of the MME brads to finish it off. The paint splatter is from my collection of October Afternoon's "Boarding Pass". I hope you are inspired to pull out your scrappy goodies to scrap all those wonderful memories!!!!! A Creative Weekend

While watching the LSU game and the Saints game, I pulled out my Bella Blvd stash and started to play. I guess I was feeling pretty creative while watching my Tigers blow away the competition. Here is a couple of layouts to share.....

Lovely kit right??? There is so much more to play with too!!!! And do you see the chicken coop fencing???? That is made by Dusty Attic. Love love love how it added so much texture and dimension to my page. I don't have much more to add, it's a typical Monday....ugghhhhh!!!! I wish you all kinds of scrappy mojo!!!!!

Hi Scrappers!!! I hope your week has been good. I have been having an awesome week so far. My son, Caleb, had his football game Monday evening and got two sacks on the quarterback...YAY CALEB!!!!! My son, Landon, and his dad were both there to cheer him on and having some quality father/son time together. Tuesday was even better...my sweet husband took me out for lunch then we ran a few errands. Tuesday evening, Abigail had her fall choir concert. They were so amazing...I was a very proud momma!!!!! Then we all went out to eat and had such a nice family moment! Wednesday, Duane and I just hung out at the house catching up on favorite tv programs. It has been so nice to have such quality family time.

That has been my week so far but enough about me....let's move on to some scrappy stuff! I recently worked on a layout for the Jillibean Soup sketch challenge. The lovely Julie Bonner always has inspiring sketches to play with. This was my take on the sketch......

So, what do ya think???? I can't get enough of Jillibean Soup!!!!! Love their stuff!!!!! Be sure and play along! It's always fun to create for the chance to win some free stuff. Just wanted to drop off a new layout. I've got my family in town with me this week!!!! So, last week I finally got my order in from 2 peas. The new Lily Bee's line Memorandum was a "must have"!!!!! I am a huge fan of grids, lines, and all things that have that "office" feel....they really make for a perfect base. You'll see what I mean.

This was taken at my daughter's Orchestra concert last December. She has taken on the Cello and loves it!!!!

Crafts for Kids

Hi scrappers!!!! I just wanted to go over a few little or big projects that I have done recently with my daughter. They were such a success at my daughter's school that I thought I would pass them on to you.

First was 9-11 Remembrance day. The school wanted the kids to learn about 9-11 and wear Red, White, and Blue. I had the blue covered from the sweater Abigail was going to wear but I needed some Red and White. So, I dug into my scrap supplies and decided to make Abigail a pin to wear. And this is how it turned out....

Now just to let you know, I had some pin backings lying around from some old Prima Flower packages and since I never throw out anything because "You never know when you will need it"...I hot glued it to the back of my paper and Viola!!!!! All paper products are by Bo Bunny.

Now on to the next Kid's Craft....and I say that because Abigail was instrumental in putting this whole project together. I am a firm believer in letting the kids have the largest contributions to their projects. I have seen one time to many where kids show up to school with projects that do not even resemble a child's work. Really, it is not hard to be a part of the creative process but let the kids have the hands on experience....they will remember it forever!!!!!!

Stepping off my soap box....Abigail was running for Student Council, so we, yes we decided on a Gimmick to help Abigail out during the campaign process. Her theme was " 'A' is for Abigail, your Absolute choice for Student Council". Now, because I have the awesome privilege of serving on the dt for SRM Stickers, Abigail and I decided that she could hand out some sort of Campaign treat for the kids in her class....and this is what we came up with......

I hope you are inspired to explore your craft room the next time your kids are in need of a little crafty assistance. It can be so much fun to play with your kids and they will remember it forever!!!!

Hi scrappers. Just the other day I completed a layout comprised totally of Studio Calico!!!! I find that their papers are perfect for just about anything but especially perfect for boys. Here is my finished product....

I just love that my boys are so close now. In the last year so many changes have taken place but through those changes my boys have become best friends. For a momma, that is a dream come true!!!!

So, what do you think of the Studio Calico papers???? The "Memoir" Collection has the perfect color combinations and when I spied that bright eggplant color on the patterned paper, I knew it would be pure loveliness for our beautiful beach pictures.

Needing some R&R

Hi Scrappers!!!! So, I wanted to drop by quickly to share a couple of layouts. I am currently recooping from a procedure I had on Tues. As all of you know, I had back surgery in April....a fusion of the l4-l5 and the l5-s1. Well, I am having a lot of nerve pain in my legs, so my dr. thinks the screws in my back may be interfering with some of the nerves.

Ok, now for the scrappy stuff. First I have a layout of my beautiful mother. I used a lot of papers from Echo Park. A little scrappy tid bit....I used the Prima packaging on my layout. Notice the doilies....wonderful way to recycle!!!!

Just to let you know, the background is a dark gray. The title shows up much better in person, but when I photographed and edited the layout, it looks much darker than it is. This particular layout is not in my comfort zone with all of the flowers, but I loved the finished product.

Next is a mix of Crate Paper and SRM. I was challenged to use the new calendar stickers from SRM and this is what I created....

As I looked at this after the fact, I noticed a few things that lacked a little detail, but overall I love the concept. I hope you enjoy and as always, I hope you are inspired!!!!!

Random Ramblings

Can you believe it is Thursday already????? Wow, this week has really flown by. I figured since I haven't blogged in a few days, I would go ahead and drop off a layout I had done a couple of weeks ago. Two page layouts are really a challenge for me but I decided to plunge right on in and give it a go. I am not "in love" with it but I like it....KWIM?????

Anyway, not much going on this week except for a fabulous football game and lot's of choir practice. Here, I will share a few pics of the kids.....

This was Abigail on Monday. She looked so cute so I just had to get my camera and take some pictures. She doesn't mind thankfully. She eats up the camera!!!! I wish I could say the same for my boys.

These were taken at Caleb's game Monday night. He got three tackles in and stopped the other team from scoring. I was so proud every time I heard his name called over the intercom. I wanted to stand up and say...."That's my boy....Yep, he's mine!!!!!" I refrained though. Wouldn't want to embarrass him to badly.

I wish I had a recent picture of Landon. I miss him terribly. I never knew how bad it would feel to have one of your kids graduate and leave! Sometimes my heart just aches because my family doesn't quite feel whole!!!!

Oh well, that's enough out of me. Just wanted to touch base with all of you. I don't how far you actually read when looking at my blog. Some of my rambling is for me....I have to get it out!!!! I wish all of you a happy Thursday. I have some projects I am working on right now for The ScrapRoom so stay tuned.....fun fun stuff!!!!!! Hugs to all xoxoxoxox

My cup overflows....

When disappoint comes my way, it never takes long for me to find the silver lining. I know those little quotes can be so cliche' but, I really do try to think with the cup "half- full". I guess it comes from my mother...she never was the kind to dwell or waller in self-pity. I love that she passed that way of thinking to me. I have had 4 rejections in the past month....not just 1 but 4!!!!! It didn't really hit home for me until today. My daughter has been working on her campaign for student council this week. I watched and helped her all week long....but today after campaigning, giving her speech, hanging up posters with her campaign slogan....Abigail learned what it was like to be rejected. She didn't win!!!!! Oh, it killed me when she gave me the news. But guess what????? She told me that when she received the news that she did not make it, she excused herself to the bathroom, had a brief "cry session" and returned to her class composed and stoic. Wow!!!! After I held her and told her how sorry I was for her loss, I began to tell her how proud I was of her and to never quit trying!!!!

So guess what???? My 4 rejections are nothing compared to my daughter's 1. First of all, Abigail is like my walking breathing heart outside of my chest and when something hurts her, I feel all sorts of conflicting emotions....no one hurts my babies!!!!! Second, I am so proud of her....I am so proud that even though she lost, she is ready and willing to put herself back out there again. And Third, what really makes my heart go pitter pat....she lives with her glass half full!!!!!! A lovely young woman after my own heart!!!!!

I think, sometimes, rejection can be a good thing. It makes you do a lot of self reflection...but it also makes me personally, want to step up my game. Learn, watch, and grow...and never never lose focus as to why I love what it is that I do.....to tell my story!!!!!

Now that I am through babbling on and on.....here are some layouts I have been working on...

Four Lovely Girls

Just wanted to pop in for a minute and drop off this layout I have been working on. I am a huge Crate Paper fan and was so excited to get my hands on the "Random" collection. It is a luscious collection of colors and so very perfect for girls of any age range. If you get a chance to play with these papers, you will not be disappointed. For an added effect, I splashed some Mr Huey's white paint and an OA Sprinkler paint...I forgot the color but it is in the Boarding Pass Collection. Gorgeous, gorgeous paints!!!!

Hi Scrappers!!!! Best Creation has a new line called "Simple Elegance" and it is simply lovely!!!!! Mix it up with their "Mr. & Mrs." line and you have a beautiful mix of black and white shimmery goodness!!!! When I got those papers in my hands, I immediately knew what I wanted to do with them. So often we immediately think of weddings, but I went back to another milestone....Prom!!!!! My son Landon and his date made it easy for me since their color scheme was black and white. Mix in some silver glitter paper and the whole scene was set!!!!!! Here is what I came up with....

SRM and Bo Bunny

Hi scrappers!!!!! I am so excited to be able to share my work with SRM Stickers and Bo Bunny. SRM Stickers has been showcasing a "Paper of the Week" every Monday and a chance to win the collection. I chose to work with Bo Bunny's "Barefoot and Bliss". I have tons of beach pictures I have taken over the last few years and was so excited to get my hands on these papers. The colors and theme are so fun and vibrant....it was such a pleasure to be creating these lovely keepsakes to treasure for years to come!!!!! Here are my layouts......

Sweet Tea

Hi Scrappers!!!! Have I told you how much I love my nieces???? Well, I do and Rheagan is no exception!!!!! Rheagan is the newest member of the family and she is the loveliest little ray of sunshine on the planet!!!!! I don't know if you remember, but my sister, 6 months later, is still recovering from a very difficult delivery. But, I believe God always replaces the bad with something GOOD, thus you have Rheagan. That little one is the happiest baby I have ever seen. She wakes up smiling and goes to bed smiling!!!! My sister has truly been blessed with a beautiful child!!!!!! Anyway, at 6 months old, Rheagan is such a ham!!!! She has discovered that inside a tall glass of liquid lies the sweetest flavor that has ever crossed her lips....SWEET TEA!!!!! Now every time she sees someone with a glass, she wants what is inside it!!!!! So, I thought I would scrap about one of those times while we were at a restaurant in Destin. Landon was holding her and got his first encounter with Rheagan and Sweet Iced Tea!!!!!

I used my kit from The ScrapRoom. This month, Tammy gave us some pieces of the fab line from American Crafts...Amy Tan's Tangerine!!!!! I just love the vibrant colors and patterns in this line!!!!

Wow....you gals are just amazing!!! I had a bad day and you totally rallied to my side just when I needed it!!!!! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!

Yes, today is a NEW DAY!!!! I woke up with a renewed energy and an eagerness to press forward!!!!! I guess we all have those days!!! With that said, I have a new layout to share. Once school started for the kids, I decided I would participate more in blog challenges. As I have said in the past, I looooove sketches!!!! Well, BoBunny has a fab sketch challenge going on right now. I am a huge BoBunny fan and thanks to my lovely friend, Frances Sylvia, I now have several BoBunny lines to play with....so again, THANK YOU Frances for your sweet RAK of scrappy goodness!!!!!! Here is the sketch....

I so love the colors of this line!!!!! Such a perfect fit for my Abigail!!!!!! This picture was taken back in January during a visit in Dallas with some friends of ours. It also was the first time Abigail had ever played in snow. Being from the south, we so rarely see snow, especially when there is enough to cover the ground.

Hi Scrappers!!! I just wanted to share one of my latest creations. I recently got my summer pictures developed and once I got them in my hands, my creative wheels began to turn. Do you do that???? All it takes is for me to see a beautiful picture of one of my kids or family members and the first thing I want to do is decide how I want to scrap it!!!! To me, it is never so much about the design of the page rather than finding a way to showcase the picture...that one precious piece of moment in time frozen forever on film. Pictures dictate the direction of all my layouts, but isn't that what it's all about....preserving those memories????
Ok...before I show you my layout I have a confession to make........I have a crush!!!!! Who might you ask???? Well let me show you....

I don't know if it is that whole bad boy image that I like or if I am just a glutton for punishment. Either way, he is nice on the eyes!!!!! Yummy!!!!

Fall Fun

Happy Labor Day!!!! Hope all of you have enjoyed a relaxing stress-free weekend!!!!! I cooked a nice large meal today and had a house full of kids which is just the way I like it!!!! I won't keep you long, I just wanted to share another fun layout using the "Hello Fall" line again by Best Creation. I really wanted to work a lot of leaves into the layout so I pulled out my Quickutz Revolution and a leaf die and die-cut several leaves with multiple patterns. Once I had my leaves, then I began to work on the design of my page. And this is what I came up with....

Some Best Creation LOVE...

I was going through some of my layouts and found a few Best Creation projects that needed some love. As you know, I am designing for a second term with BC and let me tell ya, that I just love their papers. If you ever have the opportunity to purchase some of their papers, I can promise that you will not be disappointed!!!! Anyway, here is one of the layouts I made using Best Creation's "Gone Camping" line...

We are not really a camping family but I can't tell you how many times we have created tents and camps indoors. The kids and I have pushed chairs together and grabbed all kinds of sheets and blankets and made some really cool forts, hide-outs, or camp sites....whatever our imaginations can dream up!!!! So, when I sifted through my pictures and found the ones of my daughter and her friend "camping out", I just knew I could have some fun with these papers!!!!! Anyway, whether you camp outside or camp indoors, this line is just precious and loads of fun!!!!!

Good Morning all my scrappy friends!!!!! I have a quick layout to share from The ScrapRoom!!!! Each month we get to share one layout before the reveal so that the members get a peak at what will be in their kits. Let me just say that this is going to be one fabulous reveal!!!

I have so many more things I have been working on...but I can't reveal my secrets just yet! My household has been crazy busy lately...between kids school functions and sickly animals....Geesh!!!!! My poor buddy (my dog) was hospitalized yesterday with a nasty stomach bug. I am hoping I get to bring him home today.

Happy Tuesday!!!! Over here in Texas school is back in session, thus my theme for today!!!! I was recently challenged to create a school themed project with SRM's fabulous stickers! I began to search around the house for something I could use and found these cute little mason jars and I immediately knew what I wanted to create.

Well, this is my last weekend before school starts. No more sleeping in late and the lovely lazy days of summer. The kids are excited to go back to school and momma has mixed feelings. The summer started off slow for me but ended with a bang. First with a 2 week trip to my hometown, then a fabulous week spent in Destin. Here are a few pics from my beach vacation....

The only thing missing from these pictures was my husband....he had to stay home and work :(

As for something scrappy, I have a layout I worked on prior to our beach trip. I finally had the opportunity to work with the Gabrielle collection from Bo Bunny. I tend to shy away from these types of papers but I really loved the finished product.

Beach Bums

Hello Again!!!! Today I wanted to share a little tutorial on a new product I fell in love with at the Houston "Creating Keepsakes" Convention. It is called Sparkly Fluff. It is Fluff with Sparkle and no heat is required. All you have to do is color in the area with a glue pen, sprinkle the area, and tap off the excess!!!! Very cool product and very fun to use!!!!!! Let me show you what I did......

See how I filled in the middle of the sand dollar????? And what is cool about this is how it adds such a cool layer of texture...very soft and smooth with Sparkle!!!!!! And here is my layout!!!!! Love love love these papers from October Afternoon but most of all I LOVE these pictures of my sweet babies!!!!! They are my world!!!!!!

One for the Road...

I wanted to share a couple more layouts before I take off for Destin, FL. I am so excited to be leaving for my annual family beach trip!!!!!
Ok, until then, here are a few things I have cooked up....

This first layout is #5 out 6 layouts I did while in Louisiana. I just love these pictures of my baby (Abigail) holding my sister's baby (Rheagan). I used a mixture of Echo Park and Crate Paper on this layout and I am completely smitten with how it turned out. I love making a girly page and this was full of all things girl!!!!

Now, the next 3 layouts are made with my kits from The The ScrapRoom. I just love working for this kit club!!!!! Tammy gives you plenty of bang for your buck! Just look at my layouts....all of them made completely of the kit items except for the alphas, brads, or the occasional buttons. I couldn't be more thrilled with the way each of my layouts turned out!!!

Ok, I wanted to show you #4 out of 6 layouts done while on vacation...

Can you believe this is the first time I have ever worked with this Summer line from Echo Park? I think this was EP's first debut into the the scrapbooking world. Anyway, I mixed it with another EP line and added a few little tid bits from Bella Blvd and my layout was complete. I am totally in love with the bright, fun papers. I like papers that look "Happy" because they make me happy. This layout makes me happy because of the joy Landon brings to me and especially to my momma in these pictures. He always loves to mess with her...such a kidder...if that's even a word! LOL!!!! This was an easy layout to put together and as for the stickers, just add pop-dots and voila!!!!

This was made with my kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I really enjoyed having the time to play with it during my stay in Louisiana. My momma was so sweet and set up a table for me so I could scrap and hang out with the rest of the family. If you didn't know, I love October Afternoon. There is just something about their lines that appeal to me. Maybe it is that vintage feel that OA seems to be notorious for, or maybe it is the amazing color palette that each collection has to offer. Either way, while I was on vacation, I pulled out some of my OA stash and got to playing.

On this layout, I sort of filled the page up. I knew I wanted to fit the 3 photos on there so I played around with the color scheme till I got the papers I wanted to work with. I am still playing around with my Studio Calico's Mr. Huey white paint.....so fabulous!!!!!! The rest is strictly OA products with loads of character. And of course, front and center, is my beautiful Abigail at her spring orchestra concert. She has really taken to the cello and I am her biggest fan!!!!!

It's Who I Am

Hi Scrappers!!!! I am back from vacation and so happy to be home! It's so hard to live away from your family but at the same time I am thrilled to be in my own house with my sweet husband and my 3 amazing children!!!!

Well, while I was on vacation, my scrappy mojo was flowing! In two weeks, I was able to complete 11 projects for CHA (2 layouts and 9 cards) and 6 1/2 layouts because 1 is still in progress. Later this week I will be doing a tutorial for one of the layouts I created so be on the look out for that.

The layout below is a page I did about my cutie pie, Caleb. He is such an Outdoor Enthusiast!!!! Caleb has loved the outdoors since he was a small child. He likes to fish, hunt, play ball, climb trees, go exploring and much much more. I lucked up and found the entire Studio Calico "Countryside" collection at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in my hometown. I knew it would be perfect when creating pages about my son.....and this is what I came up with!

A Princess Parade

I am so excited to share a new layout today that I made with the brand new SRM Princess sticker line!!!!! When Susan and Jenyfur asked me to create a layout with these stickers, I immediately knew which pictures to grab for!

See, what did I tell ya!!!!! I just love how the stickers seamlessly pulled my page together!!!!! The pictures were taken this past Dec. when my mother, daughter, and I went to Disney World in Orlando, FL. The princesses came out for the lighted parade....it was truly MAGICAL!!!!!!

As you can see, the skies the limit when it comes to these pretty princess stickers!!!!!

"Star" by Best Creation

Take a look at the fab new Star papers by Best Creation! I just love how the opposite side of the paper is a solid color for the perfect tone on tone color scheme. These papers can be a cardstock for layouts to mix with other lines or they can stand alone. I so enjoyed working with this line and as you can see they worked perfect with my SRM Stickers!!!! Completely Lovely!!!!!

Hi folks....Still in Louisiana with my family and enjoying every single minute of it. I have been a little busy though creating projects for CHA!!!! I'll be able to let you in on all of them sometime next week!!!! This has been such an honor for me considering this is the first time I have had my work shown at a CHA convention.
I have been hanging on to a few layouts that I made last week and have finally had the time to sit down and post them. I just love that these are layouts I created just for me...not for a company, or a challenge, or an assignment...just for the fun of it!!!!!

This first one is very special to me...it is a picture of all five of us at Landon's graduation. I really loved how it turned out and I felt Echo Park's line "For the Record" collection really helped convey the emotion and feeling of the day. It definitely was a day to take Note of!!!!

I think this layout is my fave. I based a lot of the design off of a sketch from "Once Upon a Sketch". Again, Echo Park was my choice of paper to create this Park themed layout. I mixed 2 of their lines and could not be more thrilled with how it turned out. The paint splatter is my new favorite product from Studio Calico, "Mr. Huey" white mist. I love how it dries completely white on any color paper!!!! Perfection!!!! When I get home, I will add a journal tag somewhere to complete the layout.

Lastly, is a layout I did of me and my husband. We rarely get to have our picture taken together, so needless to say I am happy when we do and it is actually pub worthy. On this layout I used primarily Bella Blvd.'s "Hello Beautiful". Stephanie Hunt's designs draw me in every time with her use of vibrant fun patterns. I also use some cute little embellies from Imaginisce. Loved those little bees flying through the trees....so CUTE!!!!!

Hi Scrappers!!!! How is your Sunday? I am relaxing at my mom and dad's in Louisiana! So nice to be back home with the folks. My brother just arrived and momma is cooking pork loin, butter beans, and fried green tomatoes!!!!! YUM!!!!!!! Now that I have your drooling, I'll move on to some scrappy news.

Today SRM Stickers is sponsoring Sketch Inspiration. Have you ever been to the SI site? It is an amazing sketch site that is so much fun and so full of Inspiring ideas! The SRM DT was asked to design a layout or card based on this sketch.....

And this is my take on the sketch.....

I used the beautiful sentiments "Shine your Light" from SRM Stickers but another fun little tid bit is.....you see the stitching????? Well, that is not a pen nor a sewing machine. It is a sticker!!!!!!! SRM has these fun stickers that have these little stitches on the page as well, so I added them to my page and viola.....a beautiful array of patterns pulled together by these sweet little sticker stitches. I also flipped the sketch to fit my picture. I really love the way it turned out....simply sweet! Another fun element is my paper bow. My friend Aphra did a neat little tutorial over at The ScrapRoom and I have been itching to make one for a layout.

Hello all my blogger friends!!!! Hope your weekend is going well!!!! Earlier this week I was going through some of my boxes....yes, I still have boxes to unpack in our garage. YUCK!!!!! Anyway, what I found was more scrapbook goodies. It made me think about when I began this wonderful hobby and how much it has brought to my life. I started this journey in January of 2006 and for the last 4 1/2 years, I have grown as an artist, learned all sorts of styles and techniques, but most importantly, I have made many friends that I hope to stay in touch with for years to come.When I created this blog, it was for personal purposes, somewhere to share my passion. Now, I would like to turn it into a more interactive platform. I am hoping to inspire but I would also like to do more tutorials, teaching, and answering any questions you may have. So, to start this new phase off with a bang, I wanted to give all of you a chance to win a nice assortment of papers and flowers!!!!!! So, what do you have to do????? Happy Sunday Scrappers!!!!!! I just wanted to stop in and share a layout of my parents with my son, Landon. My very handsome, very sweet boy, Landon, graduated from high school back in May. He is also now working, living with his best friends, and leading a productive life all by his lonesome. I on the other hand am still trying to adjust to the fact that my firstborn has done grown up and left the nest!!!!! How dare he!!!!! I am so proud but I miss him dearly!!!! Anyway, I got my pictures back from his graduation and immediately was inspired to start scrapping. I mixed papers from a kit I bought from The ScrapRoom.
The mix of October Afternoon and Bella Blvd worked perfectly together on this page. I then topped it off by titling it with SRM stickers, using the Congratulations series. I just love how the stickers give my page such a polished look.

Vacation Fever!!!!

I am so ready for vacation!!!!! But before I leave, I have to finish projects for CHA and other obligations on my design teams. I have been scrapping pictures from last summer and it has given me the itch to travel!!!! My first set of travel plans include our Fourth of July trip to Pineville, LA. While I'm there I am going to try to swing by and see one of my favorite scrappers, Aphra Bolyer. She doesn't know that yet cause she is currently on vacation as we speak. Then, July 8th and 9th will I will be working at the Houston Scrapbook Convention. Yippiieee!!!!! I will be working at the Red Bee helping with the "make n take" table for SRM Stickers....so excited!!!! So, if you are in the area, come see me! After all that scrappy fun, I am leaving for my hometown, Monroe, LA. That is when I plan to meet up with another scrappy friend, Frances Sylvia!!!! Whoop Whoop!!!!! I am so thrilled to meet her...can't wait!!!!! So, can you see why I am ready to hit the road???? Speaking of the road, take a look at these fab papers I found at my lss. Simple stories has this awesome travel line and I found the perfect pics for these papers.

Next, is our annual beach vacation which will be in August as it has been for the last 2 years. This is my brother and his daughter during our huge photo shoot at the end of trip. We always take family pictures with coordinating colors. I used a mix of MME and Crate Paper. These two lines mix really well together while creating this layout. I really like the way it turned out.

Just wanted to stop in real quick to tell you about 2 things.....

First.....

SRM Stickers is celebrating Fourth of July early. With that in mind, I created a fun little gift favor with the stickers and tubes.....

Aren't these the cutest little gifts!!!!!! And guess what????? I love a two for one special sooooooo....I made these fantastic tubes with none other than Best Creation's "I Love America" line. Speaking of Best Creation, they released their brand new, very cool, Rock N Roll papers yesterday!!!! Believe me when I say they are smokin Hot!!!!!! The DT was challenged to create a layout with the title or subtitle of a favorite song and this is what I came up with.....

The Color Room

I can't believe it....I finally had some much needed scrappy time all to myself. Seems like I have been producing one page after the next, catching up on many neglected photos. Anyway, the other day I traveled over to The Color Room and decided to play along. Here is the latest palette and here is the layout I created.....

This is my adorable little niece, Madisyn having fun entertaining herself on the floor. I just love her beautiful blue eyes!!!!!
Next, I was able to scrap Landon's 19th birthday pictures. This is one of the layouts done in honor of him....

I love that I was finally able to tear into these fab new Jillibean papers. Love them to bits and I love how this layout turned out! Perfect for any age, even a big ole boy that is turning 19!!!!!!!

Making a Splash!!!

If you hop over to the Best Creation blog , you will find lots of water-themed projects. There are guessing games with prizes to be won and many of the designers are having giveaways on their blogs.

The Design Team was challenged to create layouts featuring different water techniques. I opted to use the fab embellies from the Splash Fun line.

See, if you notice, this line has all these cute little water drops to use all over your page to create the illusion of water being splashed right out of the picture. Cool Huh!!!!!! AND when you pop dot them, you really do have water jumping off your page!!!!

My Daddy

Over the last few days, amongst the busyness of all the other crafty goodies I have been making, I made room to create some projects about my daddy. I love my Daddy so much, and yes, I still call him Daddy!!!
With Father's Day fast approaching, I wanted to pay tribute to him in some way. I will not get to see him on Father's Day, because we live too far apart, but I hope he will enjoy the two layouts I have made in honor of him.

My first layout is from my Daddy's retirement party. Love this picture with his badge...oh by the way, he was a police officer if you are wondering. Can you imagine what my teen years were like????? Anyway, I used the fab new line by Cosmo Cricket. The design is based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers and my title and sub-titles are non other than SRM Stickers!!!!!

This next layout is made completely from one of my kits from The ScrapRoom!!!! I had this idea to create my background out of these fun journal tags. I just love the whole vintage feel of this entire line. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!!! This is a picture of my brother and Daddy while they were here in town with me. Unfortunately, Daddy had to have a valve replacement surgery the following morning. Oh, now worries, he is fine now and recooperating. He is a tough man, my daddy, so it will take more than that to get him down.

Summer Splash Time

I told you I would be back again! This time Best Creation and Helmar partnered up to make these fab acrylic albums!!!! This was one of the most fun projects I have ever done. I used the new "Splash Fun" line to create my album. Summer time at the pool or the beach is a favorite past time for me and my family, so it was easy for me to come up with several fun pictures to make my album. I know I will treasure this for years to come. Let me know what you think!!!!!

A Fabulous Trio

This week we will be working alongside Helmar to show you all the amazing crafts we have cooked up for your inspiration. Hopefully we will succeed in giving you lots of crafty, scrappy mojo to keep you scrappin' all summer long!!!! So without further adieu, here is my Alfalfa Sprouts Album.....

I'm sure most of you love My Mind's Eye as much as I do. Well today I decided to play along with their sketch challenge. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to get my hands on tons of "Stella and Ruby" papers so I eagerly pulled out my stash and got to scrappin'.

Speaking of scrappy goodness...I stumbled upon the sweetest little scrap store yesterday. Recently, the only local store I had, closed down. So to my surprise, one of the ladies I have had the privilege of knowing from the old store, has now opened her own. And not only is this a store, but soon it will be a retreat for scrappers as well. The owner is Karrie Allen who is also.......wait for it........the sister to the creator of Bazzill cardstock!!!!!!!! So needless to say, if you are in need of all things Bazzill, she's got it!!!!!! The Store is called Scrapin Savvy and it is the cutest little place off the beaten path!!!!! If you are ever in Spring, TX, you have got to make a detour and check it out for yourself.

Ok, now for the sketch challenge....

The twist in this challenge was to use a song for the title. I used Katy Perry's "Firework" for mine because that is exactly what my baby girl is.....A Firework!!!!! She is so amazing and so talented....she sings, play's cello, and acts (as in theater). Abigail dreams of a future in the arts and I just know that if she continues to work on her craft, she will achieve her dreams. I love you baby!!!!!

Tubes for Storage

We were asked to think of what we could store in the SRM Tubes.....For me, that is loose change. What better way to sort coins than the tubes. I decorated the tubes with the $$$$ signs to make it fun for the kids. So, what do ya think?????? I think you need to go to the SRM blog and check out what the other design team members have stored in their tubes....it's nothing short of ingenious!!!!!!!

ScrapRoom Sketch Challenge

I am so thrilled to announce the new line, Loops and Scoops, by Best Creation. It has inspired me to scrap pictures that were forever put on the back burner. You know, those pictures that you think you will hold on to until that perfect paper line comes out but that perfect paper line never comes????!!!!! Well here it is....

Don't you just love it????!!!! It has everything you need for many different themes of FUN!!!!! Today me and the DT got to use any Becky Fleck PageMap sketch to help introduce this amazing new line.

On this layout I focused on just the ICE CREAM...Abigail, Lauren and their friend got to enjoy some Italian ice cream, GELATO, while we were in Destin, FL. See, I told you, you can scrap many different themes with this line.

Best Creation Blog Hop

Grab your suntan lotion and a towel and

get ready for a fun Summertime Hop to get some great ideas

to get caught up with old summer photos and lots of ideas

for inspiring you for this summer too!!

On this layout I made use of my Cricut to cut the waves. I used the beautiful new "Splash Fun" line as well as Helmar adhesive and pop dots to make my layout have lots of layers and dimension.

On my sun, I pulled out my Bazzill threads and hand sewed my sun's rays.

On this layout, I used only stickers and the 6x6 minis. Sometimes a minimum amount of product can be just as effective for a Fabulous finished look.

Our first stop on this weekend hop is to Liz's blog and then

off to a idea packed hop with the rest of the team

Echo Park

Ok, so I've decided to throw my hat in the ring and see what may come out of it. Echo Park has hit the scrap world by storm and I have been a fan since day one. So here are my entries to the Fresh Face Campaign....

"Baby Sister"...this is made with the beautiful "Walk in the Park" line. My design was based on a sketch by Frances Sylvia. I used primarily all Echo Park products other than the flowers which are Pebbles, letters are Pink Paislee, and clouds, misc. Most of the stickers are pop dotted for dimension and shipping tag was added to perfectly ground the title.

"Happy Spring" made with the lovely "SpringTime" line. Made completely of Echo Park papers other than the sentiment which is SRM Stickers and completed with lace and baker's twine.

"Enjoy Today" is also made with the "Walk in the Park" line. The flowers are layered with another flower by Jillibean. The lovely word sentiments are again SRM Stickers. I love the brown ribbon that seamlessly ties it all together in a neat little bow.
